Product Description

Cut for the 12" Dayton Ultimax or the Dayton 12" RS line.  You will need to order two 3" Precision Ports for this flat pack.  If you want to tune this box around 20hz, you will also need one 3" extension, and two 3" connecting rings listed below.  Cut the 12" extension tube in half and use one 6" piece to extend each port out to 24" long.  There will still be plenty of room inside the box for the Bash and Yung model amplifiers.  If you plan on mounting the Dayton SPA amps that are sealed in their own box, you might have to mount the amp up a little higher to keep farther away from the ports.  But they will still fit okay.

When you look at the photos, you'll notice that the rear vertical brace touches the rear panel.  That's how the box should be assembled if you're using an external amplifier.  If you plan on mounting a plate amplifier into the rear panel, you can simply flip that brace the other direction.  This will not weaken the box because your amplifier frame is metal, which is stronger than the brace would have been.

Made from 3/4" mdf with a double thick 1.5" front baffle. It has recessed cut outs for the woofer, rabbet joints for the top, bottom, and back panels, 1/2" roundovers on the front baffle, and also a braces that fit into dado grooves! All panels fit together very nice and make it nearly fool proof.  You assemble the box in the same order as the product photos.

NOTE: I did not have the CNC company cut holes for terminals because everyone likes using something different.  Most people that have purchased this flat pack bought the binding posts shown here:  click link   If you're using a plate amplifier, you do not need any terminals on the outside of your box.

    Speaker Notes

This is a a very easy cabinet to assemble and can be done without clamps if needed. Some people have put these together using masking tape to hold the panels while the wood glue dries. I tried to have the cabinet designed to only go together one way.
