Ordering and Shipping

Currently I'm only accepting Paypal, checks, and money orders for US residents.  In the future I will look into accepting credit cards to make things a little easier and also find a cheap way to ship to other countries.  I don't mind shipping to other countries right now, but you should find a shipping forwarder.  They will have better international rates because my FedEx account only gives discounts for USA shipments. 

After you place an order you will get a notification from the website letting you know that your order went through okay.  After getting confirmation from Paypal, I will package your items as soon as possible.  Normally this is done in 5-8 business days.  After packaging, I print up the FedEx shipping label and send you a tracking number so you know your package has shipped.  

If your Paypal account is unconfirmed, it will slow the process, or Paypal may give me a red flag and warn me not to ship your package before contacting you or asking you to become a confirmed member.  On a few occasions they have asked me not to ship at all until they look at the account closer.

If you choose to pay by check, you will be sent an invoice with the correct address to mail the check to.  I will package your items, but won't tape up the box or print the shipping label until you have paid.  Please try to send your check within 2 weeks or contact me to let me know to hold the items longer.  If I do not receive your check within 2 weeks, I'll assume you have changed your mind and the items will be put back up for sale.  

Free shipping on kits is only good within the Contiguous United States.  Shipping to Alaska or Hawaii needs to be done through a shipping forwarder inside the US.  You will get free shipping to your shipping forwarder.


Incorrect Shipping Addresses, Cancelled Orders, Refused Shipments:

Please double check the shipping address you enter.  If your package can not be delivered because you entered in the wrong information, I can not refund the shipping charges and you will be liable for the fees charged to return the items back to me.  If your order has already been shipped you can still cancel it or refuse the shipment.  Your payment will be refunded, but please understand that the original shipping amount AND the return shipping costs can not be refunded.  This is a very common practice for nearly all businesses.

Returns and Exchanges


In the event you need to return any stock items (non-custom merchandise) in its original condition, that has not been altered, glued, mounted, or cut that you purchased at DIY Sound Group, you may do so with your original sales receipt either by mail or in person.  A refund will be issued to you for the value of the item.

Shipping charges are non-refundable. To return a non-custom item please contact me first to explain the problem.  Then carefully repack the merchandise with the return slip. Return in the original or similar carton and tape on the address label provided with your packing slip. Return prepaid insured by UPS, FedEx, or Parcel Post who will provide a tracking number. Do not send COD; all COD packages are refused.  Merchandise purchased from DIY Sound Group must be returned in its original condition and received within 30 days of original purchase.  Clearance items, Limited Supply, and custom-made products are not returnable if they are cut to your correct specifications.


IMPORTANT: If merchandise was damaged in transit or a workmanship defect is discovered upon inspection, save original packaging and immediately notify me via email.
