I recently purchased a pair of th Sledge 15” flat packs, the customer service is next level, one on one, very professional. The flat packs arrived super quick and the packaging is like no other, the kit is very safely packaged. Assembly is super easy and straight forward, the CNC work is top quality, with attention to detail and care for their product, This is my first DIY Sound Group purchase and will not be my last! Well done, and hats off to these guys!

I am not good with wood - but this kit is so well made that I ended up with a great looking and great sounding subwoofer!
    Very much recommended.

This was my first try at DIY speakers and it turned out much easier than anticipated. Well braced box and easy to assemble with only clamps and glue.

I bought this flat pack about a month ago. After a couple of weeks working in my spare time I was able to put together a really nice 15" passive sub. I'm not a huge fan of MDF, but it works well for this application. I applied a cherry veneer to five sides and painted the front baffle with satin black spray paint, and it looks professionally done. I posted some photos of the finished project on the AVS Forum: http://www.avsforum.com/t/1503092/joels-first-diy-build-15-subwoofer

I purchased this as a kit with the Dayton Ultimax 15" (actually, I purchased two). I love DIY, but I am working with very little time so anything I can do to save me time always gets consideration. Combine that with the fact that no matter how many times I measure, I always cut more than once. I can't for the life of me get that perfect cut down to 1/16". So, I didn't really think twice about buying the pack.

I got the set in last night and set up in the garage about an hour ago. I laid out all the pieces, did a dry fit just to make sure I had everything and understood how it was to be assembled, and I went to work. As I type this, the glue my enclosure is drying. I am using clamps, but that's just to keep things tight; not because I needed an extra hand. When just test-fitting the pieces, they stayed in place on their own with no glue or support. This was an incredibly easy build and I am extremely happy I went with the flat pack as opposed to buying and cutting the MDF myself. Had I done that, I'd have spent at least 4 hours getting the project completed. I'm just that slow.

If you hate MDF as much as I do and you are time limited, buy this flat pack. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Bought two cabinets some months ago, been to busy enjoying my new sub-woofers to write a review. These flat packs are a must if you don't want to spend countless hours making your own box. Super easy assembly! Highly recommended!

I bought the 3 cuft flatpack after sitting on the fence for a few months. I am glad I did.
the flatpack came packed very nice. ALL the parts fit together with precision. very easy to put together. I used wood glue and some 2" brads to hold in place while the glue dried. very nice and solid box. so if your like me and hate cutting wood for a box. this is the place to buy it from.

    thanks again

I found this DIY Sound Group via AVS forum. ErichH and this community has made it possible for many people to leading performance subwoofers at value prices.
I have a build thread for those interested, http://www.avsforum.com/t/1446659/multi-sub-adding-diy-18-15-sub-to-4x15-ib-line-array-15-via-flatpack-diy-triangle-18-sub-24-sides-x-34-face-x-32-tall-5-5-cu-ft/30#post_23090985

While I do have a bit of wood working experience, I no longer have the space and tools I once had accessible to me in order to do any sort of woodworking. Not to mention if someone told me to design a box, I would probably fail miserably.

These boxes come packaged up quite well, lots of foam, soft and hard surrouding. When I recieved the box I was thinking WOW much bigger than i thought it would be, but once opened i see that a lot of it was space taken up by protection materials to keep the box pieces from being damaged.

everything fits together 99.9% perfect. One side appears to be raised just a slight bit in the corner, nothing a couple good passes with a piece of sand paper wont fix. No directions needed, its pretty easy to see how everything fits together, did not even really have to look back and think about it.. once you see the pieces you will know exactly what you need to do.

I chose to use a few screws to secure the box together as well as glue, and some of the inside brace piece are a bit sensitive to this. I did have slight cracking in 1 brace. I decided to pre-drill the rest of the holes before screwing in place and did not have any further issues with cracking. So if you wish to screw your box together I recommend pre-drilling the screw holes.

Once together this cabinet is solid. Feels sturdy, and sounds much better than my RW-12D and the knock test ;)
