SEOS-8™ Dome Tweeter Waveguide

I’m using this with the Dayton RST28 aluminum dome tweeter. I find crossing over much easier, less eq is needed and the sound is more liquid. Very happy so far. Great product. Solid and reasonably well finished, certainly for the price.

I’m wondering if there any to die for tweeters that will work with this. The breakup in the Dayton tweeters is evident so I’m looking for an upgrade there.

I'm also using this SEOS-8 with the Seas 27TDFC and the performance and build quality are excellent. I also had to cut part of the tweeters faceplate to fit but I'm very happy with the results.
Previously I was using a set of JBL 6x6 PT waveguide loaded with JBL 2408H compression drivers and compared to the SEOS-8 the JBL had slightly wider dispersion in the horizontal (just enough to be audible if you're paying close attention), in the vertical the JBL is 90 degrees so, much wider than the SEOS but I still consider the SEOS combo a worthy upgrade. Response is so smooth and needed far less correction than the JBL combo while also allowing for a lower crossover point.
I need to run some off axis measurements but I'm like what I'm hearing so far.
My only criticism is that the waveguide came wrapped in bubble wrap and somehow it marked the front of the waveguides, I tried to remove the marks by washing it off but it didn't come off, it's like it's imprinted in there, other than that I'm very happy with it.

I built a pair of outdoor speakers using these with a Dayton DC28F tweeter and Goldwood GW8024 8" woofer. Initially the design was going to be sealed, but I had to change to aperiodic. They sound great, and the uniformity of the sound is incredible due to directivity matching.

I fitted mine with Seas 27tdfc tweeters. Inspired by Zaph, I had them in modified MCM waveguides.
But this is a different league all together. Fit'n'finish is top notch, the sound is much improved, please don.t ask me why. It just sounds a lot better.

Erich is a gentleman to do buisness with, and they arrived in very well packed and in perfect condition.

Modyfing the Seas tweeters to fit the waveguides and installing them took about 10 minutes each.

All in all a very happy customer. I will buy more of these!
