Large Gold Binding Posts

These are nice quality, pretty heavy. They will take large gauge bare wire or banana plugs. I wish they came with a template for dual banana plug spacing.
Being able to solder the connection separate from the post is very handy.
They say to use 1/4" hole but I found a 17/64" hole worked better for the knurled shaft with the very hard cabinet material. I recommend starting with 1/4"...you can always make the hole bigger - making the hole smaller is difficult.

These are nice. Good finish, as you would expect, robust, and easy to work with. You can screw the knurled knob off completely, so you don't damage it when driving them into the cabinet. That also makes it easy to see which way the thru-hole is going, so you can line those up how you want.

Sometimes, working in a small cabinet can make connections difficult. With these posts, you can connect the spade to your speaker connection (assuming you use one to connect to the post) *before* putting it back on the post. That is, disassemble the post, tap it in, put the first nut and lock washer back, then connect the spade to your x-over input *outside* the cabinet. Then slip the spade back on the post and put the other lock washer and nut on.
